A Leading Education Recruitment Agency is recruiting Behaviour Mentors to work across mainstream schools and specialist SEMH provisions in Southall. These roles support pupils who display challenging behaviour emotional dysregulation anxiety and social communication difficulties often linked to unmet SEN or trauma.

Role Overview

As a Behaviour Mentor in Southall you will work closely with pupils who need consistent adult support clear boundaries and emotional reassurance. Pupils may struggle with impulsivity anger low self-esteem or disengagement from learning. Your presence will help reduce behaviour incidents and improve pupil engagement.

You may work 1:1 with individual pupils support small groups or provide targeted behaviour interventions. Some roles involve supporting pupils during high-risk times such as transitions breaks or reintegration following exclusions.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver targeted behaviour support in line with individual plans

  • Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies

  • Use calm de-escalation techniques

  • Reinforce school routines and expectations

  • Support pupils return to learning following behaviour incidents

  • Build strong trusting relationships with pupils

  • Liaise with teachers SENCOs and pastoral teams

  • Maintain accurate behaviour and safeguarding records
