Job Summary
A respected independent school in Berkshire is seeking a reliable practical and proactive Caretaker to support the day-to-day maintenance safety and presentation of the school site. This is a key role within the school ensuring a safe clean and welcoming environment for pupils staff and visitors.
The Role
You will be responsible for the general upkeep and security of the school premises working closely with senior staff to ensure the site is well maintained and compliant with health and safety requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
Carrying out routine health and safety checks and reporting issues promptly
Completing basic repairs and maintenance tasks across buildings and grounds
Supporting opening and closing procedures and maintaining site security
Ensuring classrooms communal areas and outdoor spaces are clean safe and presentable
Assisting with deliveries room setups and school events
Liaising with and supporting contractors working on site
