A Leading Education Recruitment Agency is seeking motivated and resilient SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils in mainstream and specialist SEN schools across Tottenham. This area has a high demand for SEN support staff due to the number of schools supporting pupils with SEMH Autism and behavioural needs.

Role Overview

As an SEN Teaching Assistant in Tottenham you will work with pupils who may struggle with emotional regulation behaviour and engagement with learning. Many pupils benefit from consistent adult support clear routines and strong positive role models.

You will work closely with teaching staff SENCOs and pastoral teams to deliver structured support and behaviour strategies designed to help pupils succeed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group SEN support

  • Support pupils with SEMH Autism ADHD and learning difficulties

  • Assist with behaviour management and de-escalation techniques

  • Encourage engagement and positive learning behaviours

  • Support pupils during transitions and unstructured times

  • Build positive relationships with pupils and staff

  • Maintain safeguarding and behaviour records

  • Follow school policies and procedures

Working Environment

Candidate Requirements

  • SEN behaviour or youth work experience preferred

  • Confident managing challenging behaviour

  • Calm patient and emotionally intelligent
