A Leading Education Recruitment Agency is recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to work in mainstream schools with strong SEN provisions and specialist settings in Archway. These roles are well suited to candidates who are confident supporting pupils with Autism SEMH and communication needs.
Role Overview
As an SEN Teaching Assistant in Archway you will support pupils who require additional structure reassurance and guidance to engage with learning. Many pupils benefit from clear routines visual supports and consistent adult relationships which you will help to provide.
You will work closely with teachers SENCOs and pastoral teams to implement support strategies and behaviour plans. Your role will be central to ensuring pupils feel safe supported and able to make progress.
Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small-group SEN support
Support pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour
Assist with differentiated learning activities
Encourage positive engagement and independence
Support pupils during transitions and unstructured times
Maintain accurate SEN and behaviour records
Follow safeguarding and school policies
