A Leading Education Recruitment Agency is recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to work across a variety of mainstream and specialist SEN schools in Walthamstow. Schools in this area support pupils with a wide range of needs and place strong emphasis on behaviour support emotional wellbeing and inclusive practice.
Role Overview
As an SEN Teaching Assistant in Walthamstow you will support pupils with SEMH Autism ADHD learning difficulties and communication needs. Many pupils require consistent routines clear expectations and strong positive relationships with trusted adults.
You may work on a 1:1 basis within small intervention groups or across the some settings you may support pupils during sensory activities movement breaks or structured interventions designed to support emotional regulation.
Responsibilities
Provide targeted SEN support in class and intervention settings
Support behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies
Assist with differentiated learning activities
Encourage engagement independence and confidence
Support pupils during transitions and unstructured times
Build positive trusting relationships with pupils and staff
Maintain accurate SEN and safeguarding records
Follow school policies and procedures
