A Leading Education Recruitment Agency is working with several mainstream schools with SEN units and specialist SEN provisions in Chingford to recruit compassionate and reliable SEN Teaching Assistants. These roles support pupils with Autism learning difficulties physical needs and communication challenges.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant in Chingford you will provide structured and practical support to pupils who require additional help to access learning. Many pupils benefit from visual supports sensory strategies and consistent adult guidance.
You may support pupils in the classroom within specialist units or during interventions and therapy-led activities. Some roles may involve supporting pupils with mobility or personal care depending on the setting.
Key Duties
Provide tailored SEN support in line with individual plans
Support communication and learning using structured approaches
Assist with personal care and physical support where required
Promote independence and life skills
Support emotional and sensory regulation
Work closely with therapists and SEN professionals
Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding procedures
