Job Summary
Technical Specialist Senior OpenShift Engineer
We are currently looking for a Technical Specialist Senior Red Hat OpenShift Engineer for an exciting consulting assignment with one of our clients in Stockholm. This role is well suited for a highly experienced engineer with deep expertise in OpenShift and Kubernetes who thrives in complex environments where quality stability and collaboration are key.
About the role
As a Senior Red Hat OpenShift Engineer you will work hands-on with the operation development and optimization of the clients OpenShift platform. You will contribute with architectural guidance ensure stable and secure operations and act as a trusted technical advisor in platform-related decisions.
The assignment requires the ability to quickly understand existing environments work independently and collaborate closely with DevOps SRE and platform teams. You are expected to contribute from day one and actively share best practices and technical knowledge.
Qualifications:
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift (OCP 4.x)
Deep technical knowledge of OpenShift architecture including IPI and UPI installations upgrades and disaster recovery
Strong experience with day-2 operations cluster and node administration
Expert understanding of Kubernetes core components (etcd API server scheduler controller manager)
Proven ability to troubleshoot complex cluster- and workload-level issues
Experience with:
OpenShift GitOps (Argo CD)
OpenShift Pipelines (Tekton)
OpenShift Virtualization
Advanced expertise in automation using Ansible
Strong proficiency in Terraform for cloud and/or on-prem infrastructure
Solid understanding of container technologies
Hands-on experience with observability and monitoring solutions:
Prometheus
Grafana
EFK / ELK Stack
Scripting skills in Bash and/or Python
Meriting qualifications
Experience working in large-scale or mission-critical environments
Hands-on experience with AWS Azure or GCP including networking and IAM
Knowledge of service mesh technologies
Experience with LDAP / SSO integrations in OpenShift
Experience supporting onboarding and knowledge transfer within teams
