Job Title: Expert Software Developer

Task Order: HBITS
Agency: State of New York Office of Information Technology Services (ITS)
Location: Hybrid Albany NY
Duration: 30 Months
Rate: Depends on experience

Position Overview

This HBITS role supports the migration of Worker Protection applications to the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The Expert Software Developer will assist in developing new code and maintaining and troubleshooting production applications. This position requires extensive experience in Java Angular Spring Boot Google Cloud and CI/CD technologies and the ability to guide large development teams through complex enterprise modernization initiatives.

Responsibilities

Monitor the application during infrastructure changes and during normal application hours.
Make application changes to satisfy business requirements.
Work with technical testers and business testers as a liaison to check backend results and provide testing data.

Qualifications

Software Developer Is involved with all facets of the software development process including the research design programming testing and implementation of computer software.

Expert Level
Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.

Required Experience

7 years of experience creating Java programs
7 years of experience working with Angular 2 to create web-based programs
5 years of experience working with Spring Boot applications
7 years of experience working in the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment
2 years of experience using CI/CD pipeline technologies
Google GCP Certification
