Pediatrics Integrated Pharmacist-ED/PICU - Houston TX - 77030
Full time permanent onsite role.
Salary - $125000 to $130000/ year with benefits.
Relocation - May be willing to offer relocation assistance on a case by case basis.
Must-Haves
- One year of post graduate residency (PGY1) training. No current residents.
- Inpatient acute care hospital experience required. Community Hospital experience is acceptable. Cannot accept experience only in LTAC Behavioral or Retail.
- A % of patient population needs to be Pediatrics/NICU. Will review patient acuity.
Nice-To-Haves
- PGY2 Pediatrics residency is a plus.
- Multiple years of experience supporting Pediatrics PICU/ED.
Job Description
Position will support our Emergency Department and PICU.
Position is non-exempt/hourly. No On-call required.
Participate in multidisciplinary rounds.
Provide physician and nursing clinical support including order verification.
PALS Certification is preferred.
The following will be essential for this role:
A minimum of a PGY1 pharmacy residency. PGY2 in Pediatrics is a plus.
Clinical pharmacy residency and in-patient hospital pediatrics pharmacy experience e.g. General Pediatrics NICU PICU or ED. Does not have to be 100% pediatrics patient population experience. Will accept community-based hospital experience where a % of patient population is pediatrics/nicu. Will want to understand acuity of patients.
Board Certification.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy; Post graduate residency program from an accredited program.
Licenses/Certifications: Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist in the State of Texas; Pharmacy Sterile Product certification through an in-house program or other accredited program is required if incumbent compounds sterile products.
Experience / Knowledge / Skills:
Two (2) years of experience as a hospital Pharmacist (or at discretion of System Executive System Pharmacy) with knowledge of the unit dose medication and I.V. admixture processes
