Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Snowflake and Java to design build and optimize cloud-based data solutions. The role involves working closely with business and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable secure and high-performing data platforms within the banking and finance domain.

Key Responsibilities

Design develop and maintain Snowflake-based data warehouse solutions
Write complex and optimized SQL queries in Snowflake to support analytics and application needs
Build and integrate Java-based applications with Snowflake using standard data access layers (JPA Hibernate)
Develop and maintain data models aligned with business and reporting requirements
Monitor and tune Snowflake query performance and Java application performance
Participate in cloud migration projects and cloud-native solution development
Collaborate with data engineers analysts product managers and other stakeholders
Gather requirements understand business needs and contribute to design and development discussions
Enforce best practices for data governance security and data quality
Deploy applications to cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP) and work with Docker
Lead and mentor team members through influence promoting domain-driven design and modern engineering practices
Work effectively in onshore offshore and Agile delivery models

Mandatory Skills

6 years of industry experience including cloud technologies
Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake development
Expertise in SQL development data warehousing and data modeling
Strong programming experience in Java
Hands-on experience in cloud-based development and integration

Desired / Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience with Microsoft Azure
Exposure to Python
Experience with Docker and containerized deployments
