Overview

DevOps Engineering is a mission-critical function that blends software development and systems engineering to ensure the reliability scalability and security of financial platforms. Roles often fall under broader titles such as Systems Engineering or Software Engineering.

Core Responsibilities

Infrastructure Management: Design and maintain robust cloud-based infrastructure (primarily AWS) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform AWS CDK and Ansible.
CI/CD Automation: Evolve and optimize continuous integration and deployment frameworks using GitLab CI GitHub Actions or Jenkins to facilitate rapid reliable software delivery.
System Reliability: Monitor troubleshoot and resolve issues in production environments to ensure high availability and low latency.
Containerization: Implement and manage container orchestration strategies using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
Security & Compliance: Ensure adherence to security standards including secrets management TLS certificates and regulatory compliance within the DevOps lifecycle.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related technical field.
Experience: 7 years of enterprise DevOps experience.
Scripting & Programming: Proficiency in scripting (Python Bash Shell) and a strong foundation in a programming language such as Java or Python.
Cloud Expertise: Deep hands-on experience with cloud providers primarily AWS (EC2 S3 RDS Lambda IAM) and sometimes Azure or GCP.
Operating Systems: Solid understanding of Linux/Unix administration and troubleshooting.
