• Disease prevention and control for laboratory animals meeting the facilitys veterinary care requirements.
• Anesthesia and postoperative care for laboratory animals and training relevant laboratory technicians or clients.
• Veterinary observation and care for laboratory animals including animal reception quarantine sampling and shipment for testing along with training relevant personnel.
• Microbiological control of the environment and laboratory animals quality control for all items entering and exiting the animal facility formulating and executing the annual testing plan.
• Assist in the on-site management of the animal facility.
• Participate in animal welfare reporting review and biosafety inspection supervision.
• Participate in the establishment and maintenance of quality control/assurance procedures for laboratory animal breeding and experimentation.
• Complete other tasks assigned by superiors.
