Software Database Engineer

Team Red Dog is seeking a Software Database Engineerto support a Fortune 100 technology leader partnering with a highly specialized SQL performance engineering team focused on validating database performance on next-generation hardware and platforms. This hybrid role in Redmond WA is ideal for early-career engineers eager to build deep expertise in SQL performance analysis systems-level diagnostics and enterprise-scale software validation within a collaborative technically rigorous environment.

Top Required Skills (Must Haves):

1. Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related technical field providing a strong foundation in core computer science concepts and problem-solving methodologies.
2. Programming experience in C C# and/or PowerShell used for scripting automation diagnostics and performance analysis.
3. SQL performance testing and analysis exposure including identifying regressions analyzing results and supporting performance stability efforts.
4. Windows operating system experience supporting test execution diagnostics and scripting activities.

How you will make an impact:
Execute SQL performance tests on new hardware platforms and software releases
Analyze performance results to detect regressions and stability issues
Generate reports and document findings for engineering stakeholders
Collaborate closely with lead SQL performance engineers and developers to investigate and resolve issues
Perform scripting and automation tasks using PowerShell C or C#
Participate in daily or twice-daily scrum calls to provide progress updates and surface blockers

The expertise you bring:
Bachelors degree in computer science computer engineering or a related technical field
02 years of professional experience or relevant training
Foundational knowledge of computer science principles and software development practices
Experience with SQL performance testing concepts or diagnostics is highly valued
Exposure to enterprise software environments and structured engineering workflows
Strong analytical communication and teamwork skills
