Overview

The role is responsible for providing legal support to Deutsche Banks derivatives trading business. Your day-to-day responsibilities will be to draft review negotiate and facilitate the timely execution of master agreements and other trading documentation. You will also be expected to provide thorough and thoughtful legal advice to key internal stakeholders. Furthermore you will engage directly with the Banks diverse client base and actively manage legal and regulatory risk. You will be expected to use well developed analytical skills to conduct client due diligence and to analyze/advise on the enforceability of collateral arrangements and close-out netting.

What Youll Do

  • Draft review and negotiate trading documentation with the Banks clients. Such trading documentation may include ISDA Master Agreements Credit Support Annexes Master Repurchase Agreements Global Master Repurchase Agreements Securities Lending Agreements Cleared Derivatives Execution Agreements Prime Brokerage Agreements and other ancillary documents

  • Manage your individual pipeline of negotiations and the delivery of legal services in coordination with other members of the legal team

  • Liaise with and advise other internal departments (i.e. credit risk compliance operations treasury tax etc.) as necessary for approvals and feedback

  • Assist with both Legal-specific and Bank-wide ad hoc projects

  • Perform administrative and recordkeeping tasks in accordance with the Banks policies systems and procedures

Skills Youll Need

  • Juris Doctorate law degree

  • Transactional or negotiation experience (3 years for Assistant Vice President) with a strong preference for experience with the trading documentation listed above.

  • Excellent legal analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to clearly and concisely communicate legal advice and legal analysis to both legal professionals and non-legal colleagues

  • Ability to effectively manage and balance multiple competing priorities using a professional disposition

  • Technology savvy with interest in applying/utilizing/developing artificial intelligence systems

  • You must possess strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with the Business and your manager to establish priorities and meet deadlines

  • Highly organized and able to work in an efficient manner

  • A team player with strong interpersonal skills and an ability to develop strong working relationships

Expectations

It is the Banks expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Jacksonville FL office in accordance with the Banks hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Jacksonville is $88000 to $ salaries may be based on a number of factors including but not limited to a candidates skill set experience education work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
