This contract on-site position offers an incredible opportunity for medical professionals to contribute to patient care in a fast-paced medical practice environment.
As a Locum MD in Radiology you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and interpreting medical images to guide patient treatment decisions. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of patient care while managing a variety of cases. This position allows you to further develop your skills and experience in a supportive setting.
Responsibilities
- Conduct and interpret diagnostic imaging procedures
- Collaborate with referring physicians to discuss patient cases
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Provide consultations and recommendations based on imaging results
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives
- Stay updated with advancements in radiology techniques and technology
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols
- Mentor and guide junior staff and medical students as necessary
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution
- Current medical license to practice in the relevant jurisdiction
- Experience in radiology as a resident or associate
- Strong knowledge of imaging modalities (X-ray MRI CT etc.)
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8a-5p
Call Requirement: 1 week every 5 weeks
Daily Volume: 30 RVUs
Caseload: 100% IR
Procedures: Paracentesis thoracentesis CT- and US-guided biopsies angiograms PE thrombectomy drain placement LP biliary drain nephrostomy tube central lines etc.
Technology: RPCE Tech Stack and Powerscribe 4.0
Must be board-certified
