Job Summary
Position Type: Hybrid
Hybrid Schedule:1 day in office per week minimum. Must be flexible to be on site 5 days if management team requires
Contract Length:6 months contract to hire
Position Overview:
This role is responsible for architecting and designing complex Unix and Kubernetes computing environments across on-premises and cloud platforms. It focuses on AIX and RHEL administration Kubernetes virtualization technologies enterprise hardware and disaster recovery solutions. The position collaborates closely with development and technology teams to build migrate and manage services in AWS and physical data center environments.
Required Skills:
- Proven ability to create configure and manage Enterprise Linux based systems
- Strong Kubernetes implementation and management skills
- Ability to create manage and troubleshoot Manifest Files
- Ability to develop read and update Helm Charts
- Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tooling
- Experience using Git
Preferred Skills:
- Good understanding of network technologies e.g. load balancing service APIs DNS gateways proxies firewalls etc.
- Ability to review and troubleshoot Java VM / Tomcat errors and configuration options
- Understanding of PostgreSQL deployment and configuration
- Knowledge of Gradle or Maven build processes
- Experience deploying containerized applications in a public cloud provider (AWS EKS / ECS Azure ACI / AKS)
