The purpose of the Mobile Equipment Operator at our Sidney NE plant is to operate and maintain terminal equipment in a safe and efficient manner while unloading/loading customers products into/out of rail car or truck.
Pay: $22.00 per hour
As a Mobile Equipment Operator you will:
- The ability to operate mobile equipment such as Log Loaders and Front-End Loaders.
- Operate and maintain the following equipment:
- Log Loaders
- Front-End Loaders
- Forklifts
- Ability to understand written documents for proper handling of the customers products.
- Understand basic safe use of shop tools.
- Having the ability to maintain communication with co-workers concerning their operational needs.
- Achieve and maintain a basic understanding of how all the operating systems function/interact and independently perform effective trouble shooting during equipment malfunctions.
- Startup and shutdown of equipment.
- Learn to perform annual and other scheduled maintenance on equipment.
- Understand OSHA safety rules and work in compliance with the Bell Timber safety standards policies and procedures.
- Identify and report any and all unsafe working conditions.
- Ability to read and understand equipment startup procedures operation procedures shutdown procedures and maintenance manuals.
- Perform all work in compliance with company standards and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Operating mobile equipment including Log Loaders and Front-End Loaders. Operations in log handling including long poles helpful. Must be able to withstand extreme weather conditions; majority of the time will be working outside.
