Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our R&D team. This role provides hands-on experience in theearly stagesofthe engineering lifecycle from ideation to prototype testing. The intern will work under the direct supervision of experienced engineers to support active research and development projects.
Responsibilities:
Design & Development: Assist R&D engineers with the design analysis and development of new mechanical components and systems.
Analysis & Simulation: Perform basic engineering calculations and mechanical simulations (e.g. structural thermal dynamics analysis) using hand calculations and software tools.
Prototyping & Testing:Participatein prototype fabrication lab testing and data collection/analysis. This includes setting up test equipment conducting experiments and troubleshooting.
Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers and manufacturing specialists on integrated R&D efforts.
Reporting: Document design progress test results and engineering processes by preparing technical reports and presentations for the team.
CAD & Documentation: Develop and update 3D CAD models and technical drawingsin accordance withindustry drafting standards.
Minimum required qualifications:
Currentlypursinga Bachelors orMasters degree in Mechanical Engineeringorapplicable engineeringdiscipline.
Willingnesstolearn and adapt to hands-on experiences inlabsettings.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-pacedenvironment.
The ideal candidatepossessesthe following experience skills and abilities:
Strong analytical problem-solving and technical writing skills.
Attention to detail.
Capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Demonstrated passion for mechanical engineering.
Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g. MATLAB Minitab) and general lab equipment is a plus.
- Full or part-time flexibility.
Work Arrangement : Onsite
Pay Range: $21.00 - $25.00per hour
