lawyers& more acts as an external HR business partner for a fast-growinginternational industrial group with branch in Vienna. Due to continued growththe company is strengthening its Central Europe legal function and is seekingan experienced Legal Manager with a strong legal background.
YourRole:
In this position you will act as a regionallegal expert for Central Europe and as a trusted advisor to management andbusiness units. The role combines strategic compliance responsibility withhands-on legal advisory work across multiple jurisdictions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as the regional point of contact for competition law and anti-bribery matters and advising the business on compliance risks mitigation measures and best practices.
- Providing general legal support in day-to-day business across more than ten countries in Central Europe including contract drafting and review ad-hoc legal advice and the preparation of legal opinions and internal guidelines.
- Serving as a sparring partner for regional management and supporting strategic decision-making in a regulated environment.
- Structuring and overseeing contract and claim management processes with a strong focus on regulatory and compliance-related risks.
- Coordinating and reporting on ongoing litigation regulatory matters and legal disputes in cooperation with external counsel.
- Managing and coordinating external legal advisors and compliance experts across multiple jurisdictions.
Your Profile:
- Law degree completed in Austria (mandatory)
- At least four (up to ten) years of professional experience gained in an international law firm and/or as in-house legal counsel ideally in an industrial environment.
- Excellent knowledge of Austrian law with a strong focus business law. Knowhow in competition law and anti-bribery regulations; additional exposure to legal systems in Central Europe is an advantage.
- Experience in compliance management regulatory trainings and interaction with senior management.
- German and English language skills at C1 level or higher (written and spoken).
- Business-minded proactive and solution-oriented approach.
- Confident communicator with strong negotiation skills and the ability to address sensitive topics.
- Structured independent working style combined with a collaborative team spirit.
- Interest in technical and industrial topics is highly appreciated.
