Job Summary
Pride Chevrolet is seeking an experienced full-time in-house body shop appraiser for its body shoplocated on the Lynnway in Lynn MA. Summary
Appraises vehicle damage to determine cost of repair for insurance claim settlement.
Essential Duties
- Examines damaged vehicle to determine extent of structural body mechanical electrical or interior damage.
- Estimates cost of labor and parts to repair or replace each damaged item.
- Reviews repair cost estimates with body shop manager or foreman.
- Determines feasibility of repair versus replacement of parts such as bumpers fenders and doors.
- Evaluates practicality of repair as opposed to payment of vehicle market value before accident.
- Determines salvage value on total vehicle loss.
- Prepares insurance forms to indicate repair cost estimates and recommendations.
- Estimates cost of repainting converting to special purposes or customizing undamaged vehicles.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of prior experience as a collision estimator or insurance appraiser
- Experience uploading estimates/photos and communicating with multiple insurance companies
- Proficient in use of CCC-1 estimating software
- Have a current and valid Appraisers License and Drivers License
- Comfortable with continuous customer communications
