Job Description

Role- Production Engineer

Salaryper annum (dependant on experience please advise)

Type- Permanent

Location- Bristol

My client designs and manufactures a range of electro-mechanical products and they are looking to take on a Production Engineer on a permanent basis in the Bristol area.

The Production Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

HNC / HND / NVQ / BSc / BEng qualification ideally or similar in Manufacturing or Production Engineering or have previous work experience in this type of hands-on role
Understanding of Six Sigma would be beneficial
2 years or more of engineering experience in a similar Manufacturing Assembly FMCG or similar environment
Have experience of working with Lean Manufacturing methodologies FMEA and Continuous Improvement activities
Knowledge of ISO9001
Previous experience of working with a range of materials including plastics
Be able to design jigs & fixtures (understanding of SolidWorks CAD software)
Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
Have good communication skills both verbal and written
Computer proficiency using MS Office
Excellent problem-solving skills

The Production Engineer role will involve:

Working with the team to improve production processes
Defining processes and procedures
Help to support with any operational issues
Being involved in continuous improvement activities
Helping to achieve on time delivery with customer orders
Supporting NPI too
Being involved in production design and set up
Using problem solving skills
