Summary: Pharmacy Technician Trainee
Under the direct supervision of the Pharmacy Educational Coordinator instructors preceptors and the Pharmacy Technician Supervisor pharmacy technician trainee successfully completes didactic simulation and experiential components of the Johns Hopkins Health System (JHHS) pharmacy technician training program within predefined duration. Pharmacy technician trainee must meet a minimum of 400 credit hours completion requirements of the program per ASHP/ACPE standards.
Under the direct supervision of preceptor of record or designee in experiential training pharmacy technician trainee will perform a variety of duties including assisting in the preparation and packaging of medications distribution and delivery of medications maintaining proper inventory levels and keeping appropriate records and documentation.
Graduates of the of the Pharmacy Technician Trainee Program will successfully obtain the Florida Board of Pharmacy registration and work as a pharmacy technician at the Johns Hopkins All Childrens Hospital for a minimum of 1 year. Pharmacy technician trainee is also required to obtain PTCB certification within 1 year of completion of training program.
