About the Role:
The Fixed Income Specialist supports the Fixed Income Capital Markets Department byassistingMunicipal Underwriters and Public Finance Bankers with due diligence for competitive and negotiated municipal bond underwritings. This role also supports Fixed Income Sales through new account onboarding maintenance of electronic trading platforms and CRM systems and regulatory trade hybrid position works closely with internal stakeholdersincluding Municipal Underwriters Public Finance Bankers Salespersons and Tradersas well as external Municipal Advisors ensuring compliance with industry standards securities regulations and Baird policies and procedures
The Impact Youll Make:
Conduct detailed reviews of Preliminary Official Statements for competitive and negotiated underwritings including five-year lookback analyses to verify municipal issuer compliance with continuing disclosure and financial filing requirements.
Communicate with external Municipal Advisors and Public Finance Bankers toidentify investigate and resolve discrepancies in official statements prior to pricing.
Open andmaintainnew Fixed Income Sales accounts across firm systems to support trading activity.
Manage departmental system entitlements including research distribution trading platforms and other internal applications.
Monitor TRACE and MSRB trade reporting in real timeidentifydiscrepancies and collaborate with traders and operations teams to resolve reporting errors. Review prior-day activity reports to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
Assistwith regulatory inquiries examinations and audits by gathering documentation responding to information requests and supporting issue resolution.

What Youll Bring to Baird:
Bachelors degree with 03 years of professional experience in financial services capital markets public finance ora relatedfield.
FINRA licensed (SIE Series 7 Series 52 Series 63) orabilityto obtain required licenses within one year.
Bloombergand Salesforceexperience a plus.
Strong attention to detail with the ability toidentifyerrors inconsistencies and issues in complex financial and regulatory documents.
Excellent analytical organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectivelyina team-oriented environment.
Demonstrated ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced high-pressure environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with associates at all levels management and external Municipal Advisors.
