We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Commis to join our culinary team in Kathmandu Nepal. As a Commis you will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen operations and contributing to the creation of exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of various dishes under the guidance of senior chefs
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
- Properly store and rotate food items to ensure freshness and minimize waste
- Assist with inventory management and restocking of supplies
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food service
- Learn and execute proper food presentation techniques
- Participate in menu development and recipe testing as directed by senior chefs
- Assist in the preparation of mise en place for daily service
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Continuously learn and improve culinary skills and knowledge
Qualifications :
- Passion for cooking and the culinary arts
- Basic culinary skills and knowledge of kitchen operations
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented high-pressure environment
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
- Willingness to learn and grow in the culinary field
- Positive attitude and customer-focused mindset
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and adjusting recipes
- High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
- Previous kitchen experience (Preferred but not required)
