JOB SUMMARY
As theEHS Manager you will have full responsibility for all site EHS activities from occupational health and safety to environmental compliance fire safety and emergency preparedness. You will serve as the primaryEHScontact for the site while reporting directly to theRegional EHS Leader EMEA.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own and lead all site EHS activities with full accountability for EHS compliance at the Järfälla site ensuring adherence to Swedish legislation corporate standards and ISO 14001/45001.
- Act as the sites primary EHS authority formally appointed as Fire Safety Manager (LSO) and Supervisor for Flammable Goods (LBE) with authority to initiate corrective actions and improvements across all EHS areas.
- Lead and develop the site EHS function including coaching and developing the EHS Lead Officer (Deputy) while partnering closely with Quality and reporting to the Regional EHS Leader (EMEA).
- Drive EHS strategy KPIs risk management emergency preparedness and continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
- Represent Coherent in all EHS matters towards authorities auditors insurers and external stakeholders.
- Build and sustain a strong safety culture based on trust collaboration shared responsibility and continuous improvement.
ABOUT YOU
- Senior-level EHS professional with strong experience leading EHS functions and management systems in complex environments.
- University degree in Safety Engineering Environmental Health & Safety or equivalent.
- Certified Fire Safety Manager (LSO) and Supervisor for Flammable Goods (LBE) or willingness to obtain.
- Fluent in Swedish and English written and spoken.
- Proven experience leading EHS programs in high-risk manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Strong expertise in occupational safety fire safety and environmental compliance including audits incident investigations and authority interactions.
- Comfortable working both strategically and hands-on from planning through execution.
