DescriptionWe are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our finance team in this role you will manage day-to-day accounting operations ensure compliance with Polish accounting and tax regulations and support month-end and reporting processes. You will also be involved in accounting support for other entities within the group helping to maintain consistency and accuracy across different jurisdictions.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate accounting records in line with Polish GAAP.
- Prepare and post journal entries manage AP reconcile accounts and support month-end closing.
- Handle business trip settlements and manage employee expenses using ExpenseIn.
- Post bank statements and set up payments.
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register.
- Handle VAT and other tax-related filings ensuring compliance with local regulations.
- Support the preparation of financial statements and internal/external reports.
- Collaborate with auditors and assist during annual audits.
- Provide ad-hoc accounting support for overseas entities within the group.
Requirements- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- Minimum 23 years of hands-on accounting experience (preferably in Poland).
- Solid knowledge of Polish accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Good Excel skills and experience with accounting systems (SAP B1 is a plus).
- Fluency in Polish and English (written and spoken).
- Strong attention to detail analytical thinking and ability to meet deadlines.
- Experience with international accounting or group reporting is an advantage.
