- Help keep the world moving a Diesel Technician/Mechanic at PacLease where we are the experts on servicing Kenworth and Peterbilt vehicles.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
Some of the duties can be but not limited to the following:
- Communicating with customers as a part of the check-in and check-out process
- Perform preventative maintenance inspection of truck-tractor components.
- Complete work order paperwork to reflect hours parts and lube which are utilized within each job function.
- Ability to work independently with flexibility to support other technicians to create efficiencies to meet customer needs
- Perform diagnostic inspections on general truck-tractor systems utilizing both mechanical diagnostics and system software diagnostics.
- Ability to repair more complex issues with truck-trailer not limited to wiring issues advance level component replacements etc.
- Ability to make road calls for customers that are not able to make it into the service center
Qualifications & Skills
- High School Diploma required.
- Safety conscious and knowledge of general shop safety.
- Capable of completing job functions without repeat repairs.
- In-depth knowledge of NHTSArules and regulations.
- Additional education or ASE certificates from college or trade schools are preferred.
- 6 years of truck-trailer experience.
- DOT and CDL licensesare required.
