POSSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking for a dedicated organized dishwasher who enjoys working as part of a team in a fast-paced culinary environment.
As a Dishwasher at Ole & Steen you will work in our Bakery production. The dishwasher is essential to our production team and will provide the production facility with all the clean and sanitized supplies they need to prepare products for our retail stores. The dishwasher will follow thorough dishwashing procedures according to health and safety standards.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Team Player
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to stand or walk for an 8-hour shift and lift at least 20 pounds
- Maintain a clean environment and keeping the area organized and free of clutter
- Follow thoroughly company procedures according to health and safety standards
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and procedures

Ole & Steen was founded in 1991 by the Danish bakers Ole Kristoffersen and Steen Skallebæk and originally called Lagkagehuset or The Layer Cake House. Ole & Steen is pioneer in the resurgence of artisanal and handcrafted baking practices in 2008 the two bakers joined forces and became the organization we know today.
We have been Denmarks favorite bakery for more than 30 years serving delicious Danish breads pastries cakes single estate coffee and food. We opened our first bakery on Union Square in 2019 to huge acclaim and fantastic reviews and were continuing our exciting growth journey we currently operate 3 retail stores across NYC and we have plans to grow and expand over the coming years!
