As an LPNHealth Unit Coordinator (HUC)of the job you will coordinate information and provide administrative support to our team to ensure our residents and visitors have the best possible experience. Our ideal candidate has a knowledge of medical terminology and prior experience as a Health Unit Coordinator.
Position Type:Full-Time benefits eligible position
Wage Range:$30 - $34.82 / hour depending on experience.

Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) responsibilities:
- Displays a courteous attitude and respect for all residents families and staff.
- Acts as the bridge between Centralized Admissions Team and site clinical team ensuring a smooth transfer of patients.
- Maintainspositive relationships with Centralized Admissions Team supporting as liaison for site.
- Partners with Centralized Admissions Team on maintaining positive relationships with current referral sources.
- Anticipates coordinates and orders any equipment needed for a patients stay.
- Documents maintains paperwork records and reports.
- Enters physicians order with high degree of accuracy.
- Supports scheduling medical appointments and transportation.
- Maintains electronic medical records for accurate census data.
- Assists with inventory and delivery of nursing supplies including assistance in managing medications supplies and equipment including ordering receiving storing and disposing of all items in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Balances Health Unit Coordinator duties with LPN duties and needs from clinical team.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) Qualifications:
- Current Minnesota LPN or RN Required.
- Prior experience as a Health Information Coordinator Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) or Trained Medication Aide (TMA) required.
- Must be able to pass medical terminology class.
- Basic knowledge of computers word processing data processing and copy machines.
- Strong leadership written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational time management and team-building skills.
- Self-starter with a desire to be a part of a team.
