Job Summary
McCormick & Company Inc. a global leader in the spice flavor and seasonings industry is seeking a full-time Materials Expeditor. This new hire will work in the Flavor Manufacturing Center (Hunt Valley MD) and Maryland Logistics Center (Sparrows Point MD) traveling between the two locations depending on daily business needs. The Materials Expeditor will report to a Sample Raw Material Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
- Under the direction of the manager incumbent determines the quantity of FMC/MLC inventoried raw materials requested by R&D.
- Utilizes procedures specified by FMC/MLC and repacks quantity needed and stages them for daily pick up from FMC to R&D.
- Adjusts inventory through SAP transactions for quantity of material taken from their inventory.
Job Requirements:
- This job requires traveling to the MLC and FMC daily to pull these raw materials for R&D. Must have reliable transportation to travel between McCormick sites in the Maryland area.
- This job requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with several departments at the FMC/MLC.
- High school diploma or equivalency.
- Strong PC skills required. Experience operating in a Windows environment managing files and handling data.
- Experience in a Food manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills including conflict resolution.
- Ability to be self-directed and motivated.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage time and prioritize work effectively.
- Experience following principles and making informed decisions.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to identify analyze and solve problems.
- Ability to present information to peers in a logical manner.
- Must possess strong teamwork capabilities flexibility to adjust to customer demands including overtime on short notice as needed.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with changing practices.
- Ability to lift 10 pounds continuously 20 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
The pay range for this position is $21.07 - $31.61.
