Job Summary
A supportive and well-organised 1118 secondary school in Lutterworth is seeking a History Teacher to join its Humanities department from January 2026. This role is ideally suited to an Early Career Teacher looking for a strong and structured start.
The History department has a clear well-sequenced curriculum and a track record of supporting new teachers to develop confidence and consistency in their practice.
The role will involve:
Teaching History across KS3KS4
Delivering lessons focused on enquiry source analysis and extended writing
Using shared planning and assessment materials to reduce workload
Working closely with an experienced subject mentor
Support for ECTs includes:
Reduced timetable during induction
Weekly mentoring and regular coaching
Structured CPD aligned with the ECT framework
A collaborative department with experienced colleagues
