Job Summary

Role Overview

Western Alliance Bank is seeking an experienced DataCenter Engineer to support and manage enterprise data center infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in VMware virtualization backup and recovery solutions and server hardware platforms ensuring high availability performance and reliability of mission-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and support backup and recovery operations using Veeam and Rubrik.
Deploy configure and maintain VMware vSphere infrastructure.
Administer VMware ESXi hosts clusters and virtual machines (VMs).
Monitor system performance capacity and availability; proactively identify and resolve issues.
Troubleshoot and optimize resource utilization across virtualized environments.
Support and maintain enterprise server platforms including:
- Cisco UCS
- HPE ProLiant Servers
Perform routine maintenance upgrades and patching of infrastructure components.
Ensure adherence to enterprise standards security policies and best practices.
Collaborate with infrastructure network and security teams for operational support.
Provide on-site support for data center operations as required.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications

Strong experience managing Veeam and Rubrik backup and recovery solutions.
Hands-on expertise in VMware Infrastructure Management.
Proven experience deploying and maintaining VMware vSphere environments.
In-depth knowledge of managing:
- Virtual Machines (VMs)
- ESXi hosts
- VMware clusters
Experience monitoring and optimizing performance for:
- Cisco UCS servers
- HPE ProLiant servers
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a 100% onsite data center environment.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

Experience in banking or financial services environments.
Knowledge of disaster recovery planning and execution.
Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring tools.
Strong documentation and communication skills.
