Job Title: PLC Electronics Technician 1st Shift
Location: Valdosta Georgia
Job Summary:
- The PLC Electronics Technician is responsible for testing troubleshooting installing and maintaining PLCs HMIs motor control systems and communication networks to ensure the smooth functioning of manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test and diagnose faulty electronic equipment using tools/software.
- Read and interpret blueprints schematics and technical manuals.
- Troubleshoot repair and install PLCs HMIs and inverter control packages.
- Maintain and install fiber and copper communication networks.
- Collaborate with IT on data transfer/reporting.
- Provide documentation SOPs and training to support operations.
- Ensure compliance with NEC NFPA IEC codes.
- Respond to after-hours calls as needed.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of systems and processes.
- Adhere to all safety food safety and GMP standards.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 2 years experience in PLC HMI and motor control system development installation and troubleshooting.
Specialized training in:
- PLC programming (ladder logic function block statement list)
- HMI configuration (screen layout animation alarms)
- Documentation and program structure
- Electrical and mechanical diagram interpretation
Skills:
- Strong diagnostic and analytical ability.
- Understanding of industrial codes (NEC NFPA IEC).
- Able to work independently and flexible hours as needed.
