Job Title: Pattern Maker (Metal) 1st Shift

Job Summary

The Pattern Maker (Metal) is responsible for planning laying out and performing highly complex hand-finishing and machining operations on rough castings to produce metal patterns core boxes and permanent molds.
This role requires expert-level craftsmanship CNC programming skills and the ability to interpret complex prints and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Pattern Making & Fabrication

Perform complex hand-finishing operations on rough castings for patterns core boxes and permanent molds.
Fabricate build up and modify metal patterns using various materials.
Align and fasten split sections to create plates cope and drag plates establishing interim dimensions not shown on prints.
Apply allowances for draft shrinkage and finish.

Machining & CNC Operations

Set up and operate conventional NC and CNC machine tools.
Program CNC machining operations using SolidWorks and MasterCam.
Devise and improvise tooling and machine setups as required.

Quality & Technical Review

Perform precision bench and hand operations (fitting polishing scraping).
Inspect finished work to required tolerances.
Identify and escalate print or specification errors.
Create templates when necessary.

Maintenance & Safety

Perform Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities including cleaning inspection lubrication and tightening hardware.
Maintain a clean safe and compliant work environment.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 4 years of Journeyman-level Metal Pattern Maker experience OR Journeyman License
High School Diploma or GED
Experience setting up programming and operating CNC machinery
Proficiency in SolidWorks and MasterCam
Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
