A luxury lodge in Welgevonden is seeking an experienced Lodge General Manager or General Manager Couple to oversee all aspects of lodge operations ensuring exceptional guest experiences and efficient management across all departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day operations of the lodge ensuring high standards of service and hospitality.
Lead manage and develop lodge staff to deliver a consistently excellent guest experience.
Manage financial performance including budgeting forecasting and cost control.
Ensure compliance with health safety and hygiene standards.
Maintain strong relationships with guests stakeholders and suppliers.
Implement operational policies procedures and standards across all areas of the lodge.
Support marketing and guest engagement initiatives to maximise occupancy and revenue.
Drive staff training development and performance management initiatives.
Provide strategic input to ensure the lodge achieves its long-term operational and financial objectives.
Key Skills and Experience:
Proven experience as a General Manager or Lodge Manager in a luxury lodge or 5-star hospitality environment.
Strong leadership organisational and decision-making skills.
Excellent financial management and operational knowledge.
Exceptional guest service and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team adaptable to a lodge environment.
Relevant hospitality qualifications and experience in safari or remote lodge operations advantageous.
