Job Summary

Your Role:

The Student Affairs Coordinator will be an important addition to the CIS Abroad-CEA CAPA Florence team during the Spring 2026 semester. Main duties include: assisting with student activities housing management and serving as liaison between housing providers and CIS Abroad helping to make the student experience in Florence a fabulous one. This position reports to the Italy Country Director and Florence Site Director.

This position cannot be performed remotely and it isrequiredto live in Florence.

Number of Hours: Full time - Approximately40 hoursper weekgenerally 9am-6 pm or 12-8pm

Contractanticipatedto run from January-July 2026 with possibility of extension

WhatYoullDo:

  • Assistwith airport pick ups
  • Assiststudents in case of flight delays and lost luggage
  • Assistwith housing check ins/check outs and run housing orientations/inspections in all designated apartments and/or dorms
  • Assiststudentsduring in personweekly office hours.
  • Liaison between CIS Abroad housing providers and students
  • Report weekly via email to CIS Abroadon sitestaff about any housing/roommatesissues
  • Virtually join the weekly staff meeting
  • Listen to any concerns or issues students may have and communicate these to leadership or administration and report to CIS Abroadon sitestaff
  • Prepare for andparticipatein students first weeks on site including helping CIS Abroadon sitestaff deliver activities andconductingorientations walking tours welcome meals etc.
  • Assiston site staff with permit of stay procedures (collecting documents post office appointments immigration office appointments etc.)
  • Assist CIS Abroadon sitestaff with excursions and activities throughout the semester andhelpingstudents stay informed and engaged about these activities. Main dutiesinclude:group up students at meeting points; take pictures and videos during activities and excursions;assistwithlogisticsbefore and during the activities/excursion
  • Assiston-site staff during2-4 daytrips that will take place on a Saturday and 1 sports event that may take place on a Sunday.
  • Address any concerns students may have with other residents and act as a moderator to solve any problems
  • Serve as point of contact with housing servicesproviders forany non-emergency housing issues includinglock-outs cleaning schedule
  • Staying up to date with CIS Abroad guidelines and code of conduct to ensure students are following them
  • Hold meetings with the students as needed to help students connect and havea good experiencein Florence
  • Assiston site staff with health & safety emergency andnon emergencyissues including filling out incident reports taking students to the police station to file police reports etc.
  • Share health & safety resources and reminders with students viawhatsappand email
  • Create/update contents to share with students (CIS Abroad student guide CIS Abroad social media)
  • Collect students testimonials andassiston site staff with marketing deliverables
  • Assiston-site staff with gathering students feedback and evaluation surveys
  • Assiston-site staff with Hub Spot management
  • Attend CIS Abroad- CEA CAPA meetingstrainings events.
  • Assist Italy team with CEA CAPA and CIS Abroad Site visits.

Success Targets

  • Provide quality support to our students both for Student Life related activities and housing as directed by the Italy Country and Florence Site Director
  • Ensure a prompt response andassistance(preferably within 24 hours) to students in case of any housing issues
  • Liaise between CIS onsite staff housingprovidersand students to ensuretimelyandaccuratecommunication to resolve any housing maintenance and/or roommate issues

  • Experience working with international students preferably US university students in the field of International Education and/or in the field of hospitality customer service propertymanagement.
  • Experience working in Italy with international students and/or tourists preferably in Florence.

  • Fluent in Italian and English
