The NSW Department of Climate Change Energy the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) Information Technology team is currently seeking to appoint a Digital Applications Developer to help build the digital products which help shape tomorrows solutions today.

About the role

As a Digital Applications Developer youll play a key part in a collaborative multidisciplinary team. Youll design and deliver low-code and web applications that drive business outcomes and improve efficiency using innovative SaaS technologies and agile DevOps practices.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide technical consulting and expertise throughout the application development lifecycle ensuring solutions align with DCCEEWs strategy and architecture.
  • Lead the development and implementation of software solutions ensuring high standards for quality and compliance are met.
  • Champion DevOps and agile delivery by promoting innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Support the deployment of applications to production and deliver ongoing technical support.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to deliver robust scalable solutions.

About you

Youre a motivated developer with:

  • Demonstrated experience across the Software Development Lifecycle application architecture and cloud-based systems
  • Proven ability to balance the requirements of AI/ML application development with maintaining quality and performance
  • A commitment to cyber security and best practice in digital resource management
  • Strong skills in problem-solving collaboration and communication

DCCEEW conserves and protects the states natural environment. It manages the NSW national park estate including its rich and diverse biodiversity and Aboriginal cultural heritage for future generations.

DCCEEW also ensures sustainable management of water resources across the state to support the environment communities and industry.
