Job Summary

As the technical authority for truck and forklift fleets the SME provides expert guidance to the Reliability Lead and maintenance teams driving optimal asset performance through advanced troubleshooting best practice implementation and capability development. Supports the Reliability Leads execution of reliability strategies while focusing on technical excellence.

  • Serve as primary technical advisor to the Reliability Lead on truck/forklift maintenance reliability improvements and complex failure resolution.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis (RCFA) for critical failures; provide data-driven insights to inform the Reliability Leads preventive strategies.
  • Create/maintain technical libraries (manuals specifications) and standard operating procedures for Reliability Lead approval.
  • Research emerging technologies (e.g. electric/autonomous vehicles) and advise on fleet modernization opportunities.
  • Deliver training programs aligned with the Reliability Leads development roadmap for maintenance teams (e.g. PDCA standard work).
  • Mentor technicians through on-the-job coaching to enhance troubleshooting skills.
  • Analyze maintenance costs (parts labor downtime) and propose cost-saving measures to the Reliability Lead.
  • Optimize repair methods and parts sourcing to extend asset lifecycle.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to OHS standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct safety audits and implement corrective actions in coordination with the Reliability Lead.
  • Supports organizational safety quality compliance and environmental initiatives across the site.

Qualifications :

  • Trade certificate in Auto Mechanical with over 5 years working hands-on with Trucks and Forklifts.
  • Proven track record as a technical expert in the field.
  • Valid groups 267 and 9 driving licenses
  • Extensive knowledge in Heavy Mobile Plan Auto Electrical & Refrigeration
  • Strong communication and written skills
  • Knowledge in the application of using Lean problem-solving tools
  • Coaching experience under the Wonderful Way
