As a Payment Operations Process Manager you will act as a Strategic Process Architect in Payment Operations. You own the high-level Process Inventory and the overall governance strategy ensuring that our operational framework is not just compliant but a competitive advantage. You partner with Product Engineering and Senior Leadership to drive large-scale transformation and automation and define the what and why of our operational architecture. This role is for you if you want to move from fixing processes to architecting operations.
In this role you will:
- Own the Strategic Architecture: Own the high-level Process Inventory and define the overall What We Do architecture ensuring it aligns with business goals.
- Set the Global Standard: Define and maintain the Process Governance Framework ensuring system integrity and standardization across all functions.
- Drive Automation & Product Alignment: Act as a consultant for Product & Engineering ensuring that new tooling aligns with process design and driving the roadmap for automation.
- Lead Large-Scale Transformation: Lead high-complexity Re-imagine projectstotal process overhauls that solve systemic inefficiencies and visibility gaps.
- Define Success & Metrics: Establish high-level success metrics (Efficiency Risk Reduction Resilience) and build dashboards to monitor Process Governance health.
- Influence at the Top: Partner with Senior Leadership and Risk & Controls to negotiate governance standards risk appetite and strategic priorities.
- Elevate the Team: Mentor Process Analysts and functional teams fostering a culture of Architects over Custodians and leading the shift toward engineering-led operations.
Qualifications :
- You are placed in Estonia and have a right to work here (we wont be able to support with relocation nor visa for this role).
- You bring proven strategic experience. You have 4 years of experience in Process Architecture Operations Strategy or Business Process Management (BPM). Experience driving change in a complex regulated environment (such as FinTech or Banking) is a significant advantage.
- You are a strategic architect. You dont just see a checklist; you see a system. You have mastery of end-to-end process architecture designing customer journey maps and internal hierarchies that integrate seamlessly with product logic to manage how changes ripple across the organization.
- You lead through influence. You possess stakeholder management skills and can negotiate effectively with senior leaders. You can sit in a room with Product Managers Engineers and Heads of Risk and persuasively argue for the right architectural decision.
- You have an automation-first mindset. You are forward-thinking about AI and relentlessly seek opportunities to remove manual work. You view human process as a fallback not the default and actively identify where technology can be leveraged to boost operational efficiency.
- You are a data strategist. You dont just track data; you define the KPIs that matter. You are proficient in data analytics (with strong desires for SQL and visualization tools like Looker or Tableau) and use data to tell a strategic story that drives investment and change.
- You thrive in ambiguity and execution. You are a resilient problem solver who knows how to break down broken complex systems and rebuild them better. You have a proven ability to lead large-scale cross-functional Re-imagine initiatives from conception to full rollout.
- You are certified in excellence. You ideally hold a Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt or an equivalent advanced process improvement certification (Strong Advantage).
