Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Developer & Solutions Architect with strong Laravel PHP expertise to lead the design development and security of scalable web applications and databases.
The ideal candidate will have full-stack development experience a strong understanding of web security and the ability to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design develop and maintain web applications using Laravel (PHP)
- Architect scalable database structures and backend systems
- Implement and maintain website and application security best practices
- Work across the full stack (backend frontend APIs and databases)
- Review code optimise performance and ensure maintainability
- Translate business and technical requirements into practical solutions
- Troubleshoot debug and resolve production issues
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical architecture and roadmaps
- Ensure systems meet reliability security and performance standards
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong professional experience with Laravel (PHP)
- Solid knowledge of MySQL or similar relational databases
- Experience designing and maintaining secure web applications
- Full-stack development experience (backend frontend)
- Understanding of API development and integration
- Knowledge of authentication authorisation and data protection
- Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git)
- Ability to work independently and make architectural decisions
Preferred / Nice to Have
- Frontend frameworks (e.g. React or similar)
- DevOps or deployment experience
- Experience with cloud hosting environments
- Familiarity with system scalability and performance optimisation
- Previous experience in a Solutions Architect or lead role
