Our client is a consultancy specializing in project planning and controls with a strong focus on data analysis and process optimization. They operate across multiple sectors helping organizations manage complex projects efficiently. They have an international presence including operations in Portugal.
The Position
As a Project Controls Engineer you will play a key role in large and complex projects providing essential insights through data analysis. Working closely with the project manager you will maintain a holistic view of the project delivering planning forecasts management reports and analyses covering time scheduling cost risk and scope. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Your Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor to the project manager within the area of project controls.
- Understand the technical aspects of the project and translate them into a comprehensive project plan.
- Take ownership of the planning and control process performing advanced analyses such as Earned Value scenario planning and risk assessments.
- Provide guidance to the project manager and team regarding potential claims.
- Utilize and master project management software tools including Primavera P6 and MS Project (preferable).
Your Profile

- Holds a Masters degree in Industrial Civil or Business Engineering.
- Analytical independent and communicative mindset.
- Comfortable bridging technical expertise and management.
- Fluent in English and Portuguese.
- Strong interest and knowledge in IT tools.
