Job Summary
Convene Malaysia is looking for an Accountant to be part of our growing team. Convene is a
meeting and collaboration solution for Boards and Senior Leadership Teams. Convene has
already been recognized by reputable institutions across the globe. Our client base has grown
exponentially and we have extended our global footprint in over 100 countries.
Responsibilities:
- Gather interpret all information to evaluate the efficiency of financial procedures
- Analyze key financial data and advise senior management on strategic planning
- Work on projects as assigned by the senior management.
- Prepare varies analysis of product cost production variances spending and labour
- tracking
- Interact with product services and sales team and to achieve greater understanding of
- all the product and project costs
- Manage all accounting transactions and complete a full set of accounts
- Maintain accurate financial records and prepare clear and accurate reports for
- informational and operational use
- Prepare budget forecasts
- Handle monthly quarterly and annual closings
- Comply with financial policies and regulations
- Reconciles accounts records reports and journals
- Assist with external and internal audit requirements
- Report on the companys financial health and liquidity
- Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
Qualifications:
- Candidate must possess at least Bachelors/College Degree in Business Finance or
- Accounting
- Must have 2-5 years related experience in General Accounting
- Experience in End-to-End bookkeeping and year end finalization work
- Must have good working knowledge of MS Excel
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Must be well-organized and has keen attention to detail
- Able to maintain confidentiality
- Knowledge of XERO accounting software is a must
- Fluent in English Bahasa Malaysia / Cantonese
