At Bethel Apartments in Alexandria LA we are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Worker to join our dedicated team and help maintain safe comfortable and well-functioning homes for our residents.
Position Overview:
The Maintenance Worker plays a vital role in keeping the property in top condition through proactive maintenance repairs and resident support. This hands-on position involves a broad range of responsibilities including plumbing and carpentry repairs appliance installation electrical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance. The ideal candidate will be dependable self-motivated and attentive to detail with the technical expertise and physical ability required to perform the job effectively.
What Youll Do:
In this role you will handle daily work order requests such as repairing cabinetry locks sheetrock plumbing fixtures and other maintenance needs as they arise. You will inspect units regularly manage maintenance inventory and ensure that safety systems such as fire alarms and smoke detectors remain fully operational. Additional responsibilities include installing appliances checking control panels collaborating with on-site vendors and maintaining clear communication with management to ensure timely issue resolution.
What Were Looking For:
Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent at least two years of residential maintenance experience and a solid understanding of HVAC plumbing and electrical systems. An HVAC certification is required and experience using Yardi is a plus. Strong communication skills professionalism and a courteous attitude toward residents and coworkers are essential.
