Job Description

Role: This is a fully onsite role based at our customers site in Framingham MA. We welcome applicants from all locations within the US. Please note that relocation assistance is not provided for this position and any relocation costs will be the responsibility of the candidate.

Key responsibilities:

  • Daily equipment preparation and calibration
  • Assist with testing schedule maintenance and coordination
  • Provide assay support. This includes HPLC/UPLC Electrophoresis (SDS PAGE CE-SDS iCiEF) and Spectrophotometric.

Essential Functions:

  • Performs a variety of routine to complex sample preparation and analysis procedures to quantitatively measure pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical compounds in a variety of formulations and/or biological matrices for stability and analytical testing.
  • Problem solves with assistance pertaining to extraction and/or instrumentation problems.
  • Trains on routine operation maintenance and theory of analytical instrumentation SOPs and regulatory procedures and guidelines.
  • Communicates project status to project leader.
  • Performs work assignments accurately and in a timely and safe manner.
  • Reviews interprets and analyzes data for technical quality and compliance to protocols methods SOPs client criteria and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) or Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
  • Performs self and peer review of the data in iLab (electronic lab notebook) for accuracy and compliance with reporting requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in lab sciences such as Chemistry Biochemistry Immunology Chemistry Biology Molecular Biology or similar
  • Previous experience provides the knowledge skills and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 2-4 years) or equivalent combination of education training and experience.
  • OR Masters degree and previous experience that provides the knowledge skills and abilities to perform the job (comparable 1 year)
  • Biopharmaceutical industry preferred.

In some cases an equivalency consisting of a combination of appropriate education training and/or directly related experience will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.

Preferred Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of one or more applicable techniques such as: HPLC SEC CE icIEF
  • Experience with HPLC and Empower and method optimization and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of applicable regulatory authority compendia and ICH guidelines
  • Ability to understand and independently apply GMPs and /or GLPs to everyday work about documentation and instrument use
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft Excel and Word to perform tasks
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Time management and project management skills
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Ability to work in a collaborative work environment with a team


Working Conditions and Environment:
Work is performed in a laboratory and/or a clinical environment with exposure to electrical office equipment.
Occasional drives to site locations occasional domestic travel.
Exposure to biological fluids with potential exposure to infectious organisms.
Rare exposure to skin and lung irritants radiation toxic materials and hazardous waste.
Personal protective equipment required such as protective eyewear garments and gloves.
Exposure to fluctuating and/or extreme temperatures on rare occasions.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in an upright and /or stationary position for 6-8 hours per day.
Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast simple repeated movements of the fingers hands and wrists to operate lab equipment.
Occasional mobility needed.
Occasional crouching stooping with frequent bending and twisting of upper body and neck.
Light to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moves) objects including luggage and laptop computer with a maximum lift of 15-20 lbs.
Ability to access and use a variety of computer software developed both in-house and off-the-shelf.
Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
Frequently interacts with others to obtain or relate information to diverse groups.
Works independently with little guidance or reliance on oral or written instructions and plans work schedules to meet goals. Requires multiple periods of intense concentration.
Performs a wide range of variable tasks as dictated by variable demands and changing conditions with little predictability as to the occurrence. Ability to perform under stress. Ability to multi-task.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $36.00$38.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company team and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on which includes:
