Job Summary
Cedar Park Group is seeking a Sheet Metal Journeyman with experience in laboratory medical industrial or R&D environments. This role supports critical facility and lab operations through installation of custom ductwork lab equipment integration and welding (including stainless steel) in a secure facility where safety precision and quality workmanship matter.
Schedule/Shift: MondayFriday 7:30 AM3:30 PM (7.5 hours/day) (or per site schedule)
Type: Full-time 2 years contract
Responsibilities
Fabricate and install custom ductwork to project specifications
Install and support laboratory equipment tie-ins and related sheet metal components
Perform welding work including stainless steel and other materials
Weld and repair drains and drain pans as required
Interpret drawings/sketches and field-verify measurements for accurate fabrication/fit
Work from heights using ladders scaffolding and boom lifts
Follow all site safety requirements including use of PPE when required
Maintain clean work areas and comply with all secure facility procedures and access protocols
Requirements (Mandatory)
Sheet Metal Journeyman with 3 years of experience in a laboratory medical industrial or R&D setting
Experience installing custom ductwork and laboratory equipment
Proven welding experience with stainless steel and other materials
Experience welding drains and drain pans
Ability to work from heights; experience operating ladders scaffolding and boom lifts
Experience working in a secure facility
Valid drivers license
