Job Summary
AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations from foundational services such as Amazons Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWSs services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization youll support the development and management of Compute Database Storage Internet of Things (IoT) Platform and Productivity Apps services in AWS including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

Take part in the development of cutting-edge products within a disruptive system architecture. AWS Graviton is a family of processors designed to deliver the best price performance for cloud workloads running in Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) the worlds largest leading Cloud vendor.
We are looking for talented engineers to join our Chip Design team working on the Graviton product line. Our chip design team is in charge of defining the products features and working on their architecture and development. Our team members collaborate with multiple teams from different disciplines such as product definition pre and post silicon validation physical design software and others contributing to a full cycle of chip development from start to mass production. Your design will be integrated into the Graviton products an important part of the AWS data centers worldwide. This is an opportunity to have a large-scale impact

Key job responsibilities
* Own complete lifecycle of a System-on-Chip (SoC) development from micro-architecture conception to final tape-out
* Conduct comprehensive system-level debugging and performance analysis
* Develop robust complex semiconductor platforms
* Support comprehensive pre and post-silicon verification processes
* Ensure exceptional quality and reliability standards
* Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams including Product Definition Verification Physical Design and Software Engineering
* Execute sophisticated IP integration strategies

Your day will be filled with complex technical challenges and collaborative problem-solving. Youll dive deep into semiconductor architecture working on intricate design challenges that require both creative thinking and precise technical execution. Expect to engage with cross-functional teams prototype innovative solutions and contribute to cutting-edge chip development that impacts global cloud infrastructure.

Annapurna Labs started in 2011 as a fabless chip start-up focused on bringing innovation to the fast-growing cloud infrastructure. Four years after its inception Annapurna Labs was acquired by Amazon Web Services (AWS). Since then we have accelerated innovation and developed a number of products that benefit cloud customers including AWS Nitro technology AWS Graviton processors AWS ML Inferentia & Trainium and more. Although Annapurna Labs is a small company it is significant for AWS with a reputation of being the key ingredient in the secret sauce behind its success. The Annapurna Labs team is responsible for building custom chips accelerators and software stacks that run on top of them which gives us the possibility to optimize and improve our products in different layers more effectively.

- 4 years of experience in chip design
- Proficient in Verilog/System Verilog programming
- BSc in Electrical Engineering/Computer science/Computer Engineering
- Strong technical communication and mentoring capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in collaborative environments
- Background in processor or fabric design architectures
- Experience with IP integration and full chip development
- Familiarity with communication protocols (AXI CHI PCIe DDR)
- Knowledge of Physical design tools and methodologies
