We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the successful delivery of municipal roadway and paving projects. This role works closely with a Project Manager and multidisciplinary teams to help coordinate schedules budgets documentation and client communications throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate is organized proactive and eager to grow their project management career.
Responsibilities:
- Support planning coordination and delivery of municipal and roadway projects
- Prepare and track project schedules deliverables and action items.
- Coordinate with design survey inspection teams and subconsultants
- Participate in meetings and assist in preparation for meetings
- Assist with responding to client requests and maintaining positive client relationships.
- Support construction phase services (RFIs submittals pay applications etc.)
- Monitor project progress against scope schedule and budget.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable local state and federal regulations.
- Promote safe work practices and professional conduct on all projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management or a related field preferred
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred
- 25 years of experience supporting civil or public infrastructure projects.
- Experience working on municipal roadway paving or transportation projects is preferred.
- Demonstrated understanding of civil engineering design and construction practices.
- Ability to read and interpret plans specifications and construction documents.
- Strong organizational communication and time-management skills
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with project management tools a plus
