Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist (Travel)
Location: Columbia SC
Assignment Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: 5 8-hour shifts
Shift Hours: 7:00 AM 3:30 PM
Total Hours: 40 hours/week
Position Overview
A hospital is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment. The ideal candidate will be skilled in assisting with interventional procedures maintaining sterile technique and supporting physicians in a fast-paced procedural environment.
Responsibilities
Assist physicians during interventional radiology and vascular procedures
Prepare procedure rooms equipment and patients
Maintain sterile technique throughout procedures
Operate imaging equipment in accordance with safety standards
Monitor patient condition during procedures and report changes promptly
Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to departmental protocols
Collaborate with radiologists nurses and clinical staff
Comply with radiation safety and infection control guidelines
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience preferred
Strong knowledge of IR procedures and imaging equipment
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Excellent communication and patient-care skills
Experience in acute care hospital settings
Education Requirements
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
Required Certifications & Licensure
ARRT (RT) Radiography (IR certification preferred)
Active state license (or eligibility)
BLS (AHA)
