The Batshaw Youth and Family Centres located in Westmount are seeking Psychoeducators for full-time permanent and temporary positions within the Evaluation and Orientation (EO) Service for Youth Protection (DPJ) reports.

What will you do in practice



You will work with English-speaking children and families from diverse communities some of whom may be facing neglect abuse or personal or family challenges.



Within the Evaluation and Orientation (EO) Service you will analyze reports and implement the necessary protective measures when a childs safety or development is at risk.

Your day-to-day mission:




  • Go into the field to meet children families and professionals;

  • Analyze youth protection situations;

  • Assess risks and needs;

  • Support parents in strengthening their ability to protect their child;

  • Propose safe solutions (living environments resources etc.);

  • Write reports and document case files;

  • Make decisions as part of a multidisciplinary team (legal professionals physicians specialists and other professionals).



Schedule: Monday to Friday generally from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.



The profile we are looking for:




  • Hold a Bachelors or Masters degree in Psychoeducation (or meet the academic requirements of the OPPQ);

  • Are a member of the OPPQ (or in the process of becoming a member);

  • Are fluent in English and French;

  • Have a valid drivers license and access to a car;

  • Are adaptable and able to manage changing priorities.
