We are currently seeking a full-timeDental Assistant to join our team atTaylor Correctional Institutionlocated in Perry Florida.
The Dental Assistant works under the direct supervision of the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in chairside dentistry in a correctional setting.
Essential Duties:
- Preparing and sterilizing dental instruments
- Preparing and maintaining the dental operatory
- Operating radiographic equipment
- Administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Completion of a technical school program in dental assisting or 12months of experience as a Dental Assistant required
- Certified Dental Assistant license and/or Expanded Dental Assistant Certificate or ability to obtain one required within first 6 months of employment
- Florida Radiograph Certificate or ability to obtain one required within the first 6 months of employment
- Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation preferred or willing to obtain one upon hire
- Certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or willing to obtain one upon hire
- Ability to obtain a security clearance to include drug screen and criminal background check
Available Shift: Days 7AM-3:30PM; Monday-Friday
